Californo woven ceramic insulating blanket comes in a 51 sq. ft. roll at 1″ thickness, high density 8 Lbs./cu.ft., 2300º Farenheit (1260º Celsius) insulation for pizza ovens. Enough to cover any of our ovens up to Garzoni-420. You should use 3 layers for high efficiency insulation.
Californo Blanket is a superior oven dome insulator. It is a flexible woven ceramic blanket that is both highly efficient and easy to install. An Alumina Silicate product originally designed for industrial applications, such as aluminum melting furnaces. A 3 ” thick layer of Californo Blanket reduces the potential 800ºF exterior of apizza ovendome to roughly 165º Farenheit at equilibrium. Californo Blanket is easy to install and to work with, easy to cut with a utility knife, light weight and highly efficiency for optimal pizza oven performance.
